Standup India


Stand up India was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 5 April 2016 to support entrepreneurship among women and SC & ST communities.

It is similar to but distinct from Startup India. Both are enabler and beneficiary of other key Government of India schemes, such as Make in India, Industrial corridor, Dedicated Freight Corridor, Sagarmala, Bharatmala, UDAN-RCS, Digital India, BharatNet and UMANG.

Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra (PMBJK)



Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi PariYojana Kendra(PMBJPK) is a campaign launched by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Govt. Of India, to provide quality medicines at affordable prices to the masses through special kendras known as Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra. Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana Kendra (PMBJPK) have been set up to provide generic drugs, which are available at lesser prices but are equivalent in quality and efficacy as expensive branded drugs. BPPI (Bureau of Pharma Public Sector Undertakings of India) has been established under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Govt. of India, with the support of all the CPSUs for co-coordinating procurement, supply and marketing of generic drugs through Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra

National Food Security Mission



The National Development Council (NDC) in its 53rd meeting held on 29th May, 2007 adopted a resolution to launch a Food Security Mission comprising rice, wheat and pulses to increase the production of rice by 10 million tons, wheat by 8 million tons and pulses by 2 million tons by the end of the Eleventh Plan (2011-12). Accordingly, a Centrally Sponsored Scheme, 'National Food Security Mission' (NFSM), was launched in October 2007. The Mission is being continued during 12th Five Year Plan with new targets of additional production of food grains of 25 million tons of food grains comprising of 10 million tons rice, 8 million tons of wheat, 4 million tons of pulses and 3 million tons of coarse cereals by the end of 12th Five Year Plan. 
The National Food Security Mission (NFSM) during the 12th Five Year Plan will have five components (i) NFSM- Rice; (ii) NFSM-Wheat; (iii) NFSM-Pulses, (iv) NFSM-Coarse cereals and (v) NFSM-Commercial Crops.


National Career Service (India)


National Career Service (NCS) project is an initiative launched by the Ministry of Labour and Employment (India)Government of India as a Mission Mode Project for establishing quick and efficient career related services. It was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 20 July 2015 as part of government’s focus on providing right skills and generating employment.[1]

The Career Centres serve as a platform for addressing all career related needs of the youth and students.


National Child Labour Projects



The NCLP Scheme seeks:
  • To eliminate all forms of child labour through
  • Identification and withdrawal of all children in the Project Area from child labour,
  • Preparing children withdrawn from work for mainstream education along with vocational training
  • Ensuring convergence of services provided by different government departments/agencies for the benefit of child and their family
  • To contribute to the withdrawal of all adolescent workers from Hazardous Occupations/ Processes and their Skilling and integration in appropriate occupations through
  • Identification and withdrawal of all adolescent workers from hazardous occupations / processes,
  • Facilitating vocational training opportunities for such adolescents through existing scheme of skill developments
  • Raising awareness amongst stakeholders and target communities, and orientation of NCLP and other functionaries on the issues of ‘Child Labour’ and ‘employment of adolescent workers in hazardous occupations/processes’; and
  • Creation of a Child Labour Monitoring, Tracking and Reporting System.


AMRUT - Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation




The scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in June 2015 with the focus to establish infrastructure that could ensure adequate robust sewage networks and water supply for urban transformation by implementing urban revival projects. Rajasthan was the first state in the country to submit State Annual Action Plan under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT). The scheme Housing for All by 2022 and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) were launched on the same day. The scheme is dependent with public private partnership(PPP) model. If required, various other schemes like Swachh Bharat Mission, Housing for All 2022, along with the local state schemes like that related to water supply and sewerage and other infrastructure related schemes can be linked to AMRUT


Smart Cities Mission



Smart Cities Mission, sometimes referred to as Smart City Mission, is an urban renewal and retrofitting program by the Government of India with the mission to develop 100 cities across the country making them citizen friendly and sustainable.The Union Ministry of Urban Development is responsible for implementing the mission in collaboration with the state governments of the respective cities.

Sukanya Samridhi Yojana (Girl Child Prosperity Scheme)



Sukanya Samriddhi Account ( Girl Child Prosperity Account) is a Government of India backed saving scheme targeted at the parents of girl children. The scheme encourages parents to build a fund for the future education and marriage expenses for their female child.[1]

The scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra modi on 22 January 2015 as a part of the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign. The scheme currently provides an interest rate of 8.1% (for October 2017 to December 2017 ) and tax benefits. The account can be opened at any India Post office or branch of authorised commercial banks


HRIDAY – Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana



National Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana[clarification needed] (HRIDAY) was launched on 21 January 2015 with the aim of bringing together urban planning, economic growth and heritage conservation in an inclusive manner to preserve the heritage character of each Heritage City.

The Scheme shall support development of core heritage infrastructure projects including revitalization of linked urban infrastructure for heritage assets such as monuments, Ghats, temples etc. along with reviving certain intangible assets. These initiatives shall include development of sanitation facilities, roads, public transportation & parking, citizen services, information kiosks etc.

National Urban Livelihood Mission







The National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) was launched by Manmohan Singh Government in 2013 by restructuring the Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY) in all district headquarters (irrespective of their population) and all the cities with population of one lakh or more. It is a flagship programme of Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation.

National Rural Livelihood Mission(NRLM)



National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) is a poverty alleviation project implemented by Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. This scheme is focused on promoting self-employment and organization of rural poor. The basic idea behind this programme is to organize the poor into SHG (Self Help Groups) groups and make them capable for self-employment. In 1999 after restructuring Integrated Rural Development Programme(IRDP), Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) launched Swarnajayanti Grameen Swarojgar Yojana (SGSY) to focus on promoting self-employment among rural poor. SGSY is now remodeled to form NRLM thereby plugging the shortfalls of SGSY programme. This scheme was launched in 2011 with a budget of $5.1 billion and is one of the flagship programmes of Ministry of Rural Development. This is one of the world's largest initiatives to improve the livelihood of poor. This programme is supported by World Bank with a credit of $1 Billion.The scheme was succeeded by Deen Dayal Antyodaya Yojana on 25 September 2015.



Voluntary Disclosure of Income Scheme



The Voluntary Disclosure of Income Scheme (VDIS) was a very unconventional but successful step among Indian economic policies. It would give an opportunity to the income tax or wealth tax defaulters to disclose their undisclosed income at the prevailing tax rates. This scheme would also ensure that the laws relating to economic offences would not be applicable for those defaulters. Over 350,000 people disclosed their income and assets under this scheme, which brought a revenue of ₹78 billion (US$1.1 billion) to the Indian finance ministry. The scheme was closed on 31 December 1997.

Swavalamban



Swavalamban Scheme

Swavalamban Scheme, a co-contributory Pension Scheme, launched in September, 2010 to encourage people from the unorganized sector to voluntarily save for their retirement. The Central Government would contribute a sum of Rs. 1,000 in each National Pension System (NPS) account opened under the Scheme where the subscriber is able to save Rs.1,000 to Rs.12,000 during a financial year. The Government’s contribution is available upto Financial Year 2016-17. The scheme is for those citizens of India who are not part of any statutory pension/provident scheme. The target beneficiaries of Swavalamban Scheme are co-contributory scheme beneficiaries of State Governments, Aanganwaadi workers, Construction workers, Occupational classes like weavers, fishermen, farmers, dairy workers etc. The Scheme is managed by Pension Fund Regulatory & Development Authority (PFRDA) and financed through budgetary support by way of Grants-in- Aid to PFRDA. The Scheme operates through 62 Aggregators and 71 PoPs.

Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana



स्‍वर्ण जयंती ग्राम स्‍वरोजगार योजना (एसजीएसवाई) (बाहरी विंडो में खुलने वाली वेबसाइट) ग्रामीण गरीबों को स्वरोजगार के अवसर उपलब्ध कराने के लिए एक समन्वित कार्यक्रम के रूप में पहली अप्रैल, 1999 को शुरू की गई। योजना का उद्देश्य गरीबी रेखा से नीचे जीवनयापन कर रहे लोगों की मदद करके सामाजिक एकजुटता, प्रशिक्षण, क्षमता निर्माण और आमदनी देने वाली परिसंपत्तियों की व्यवस्था के जरिए उन्हें स्वयं-सहायता समूहों के रूप में संगठित करना है। यह कार्य बैंक ऋण और सरकारी सब्सिडी के जरिए किया जाता है। लोगों की अभिवृत्ति और कौशल, संसाधनों की उपलब्धता और बाजार की संभाव्यता के आधार पर चुने हुए मुख्य कार्यकलापों के द्वारा कार्यकलाप समूह की स्थापना पर यह योजना ध्यान देती है। इस योजना में प्रक्रियागत दृष्टिकोण और गरीब ग्रामीणों की क्षमता निर्माण पर बल दिया जाता है। इसलिए इसमें स्वयंसेवी सहायता समूहों के विकास और पोषण, जिसमें कौशल-विकास भी शामिल है, में गैर-सरकारी संगठनों/सीबीओज/व्यक्तियों/बैंकों को स्वयं सहायता संवर्द्धन संस्थान/सुविधा प्रदाता के रूप में शामिल किया जाता है। योजना के तहत स्थानीय जरूरतों के मुताबिक सामाजिक मध्यस्थता और कौशल विकास प्रशिक्षण पर आने वाली लागत उपलब्ध कराई जाती है। समूहों के विकास की अवस्था के आधार पर प्रशिक्षण, आवर्ती कोष से आवंटन और आर्थिक कार्य-कलाप हेतु निधि के उपयोग में डी.आर.डी.ए. और राज्यों को लचीलेपन की गुंजाइश दी गई है।


Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana



The Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana (English: Universal Rural Employment Programme) was a scheme launched by the Government of India to attain the objective of providing gainful employment for the rural poor.[1]:1 From 1 April 1999, EAS became an allocation-based scheme:3 The programme was implemented through the Panchayati Raj institutions.

The Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana was launched on 1 September 2001 by merging the provisions of Employment Assurance Scheme (EAS) and Jawahar Gram Samridhi Yojana (JGSY). The programme is self-targeting in nature and aims to provide employment and food to people in rural areas who lived below the poverty line.

Sabla or Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Girls





Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Girls (RGSEAG) -SABLA is a scheme to empower adolescent girls of 11-18 years by improving their nutritional and health status, upgrading various skills like home skills, life skills and vocational skills. The girls will also be equipped with information on health and family welfare, hygiene and guidance on existing public services. The scheme is being implemented in 200 districts across the country on a pilot basis while in the remaining districts Kishori Shakti Yojna (KSY), where operational, will continue as before. The scheme is being implemented using the platform of Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) wherein Aanganwadi Centres (AWC) would be the focal point for the delivery of services.



Saksham or Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Boys



Life skills scheme launched for adolescent boys

Government has recently launched a fresh scheme, ‘Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Boys’ to empower the adolescent boys.

It is also called as project ‘Saksham’ that aims to empower the overall development of youngsters, to make them self-dependant, gender-sensitive, and aware citizens. It will also help them deal with gender violence, and harness their power for the nation-building.

Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana



देश में कार्यबल की कुल संख्‍या में लगभग 93 प्रतिशत असंगठित क्षेत्र के कामगार हैं। सरकार ने कुछ व्‍यावसायिक समूहों के लिए कुछ सामाजिक सुरक्षा उपायों का कार्यान्‍वयन किया है किंतु इनका कवरेज अभी बहुत कम है। अधिकांश कामगारों के पास कोई सामाजिक सुरक्षा कवरेज अब भी नहीं है। असंगठित क्षेत्र में कामगारों के लिए एक बड़ी असुरक्षा उनका बार बार बीमार पड़ना तथा उक्‍त कामगारों एवं उनके परिवार के सदस्‍यों की चिकित्‍सा देखभाल तथा उन्‍हें अस्‍पताल में भर्ती करने की जरूरत है। स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य सुविधाओं में विस्‍तार के बावजूद इनकी बीमारी भारत में मानव के वंचित रहने के सर्वाधिक कारणों में से एक बनी हुई है।



Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana



Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (Hindi: राष्ट्रीय कृषि विकास योजना, lit. 'National Agriculture Development Programme'[1]) is a State Plan Scheme of Additional Central Assistance[2] launched in August 2007 as a part of the 11th Five Year Plan by the Government of India. Launched under the aegis of the National Development Council, it seeks to achieve 4% annual growth in agriculture through development of Agriculture and its allied sectors (as defined by the Planning Commission (India)) during the period under the 11th Five Year Plan (2007–11)

Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana[



The Government of India launched ‘Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana(RGGVY) – Programme for creation of Rural Electricity Infrastructure & Household Electrification, in April 2005 for providing access to electricity to rural households. As on 30.04.2012, against the targeted coverage of 1.10 lakh un/de-electrified village and release of free electricity connections to 2.30 crore BPL households, electrification works in 1.05 lakh un/de-electrified villages have been completed and 1.95 crore free electricity connections to BPL households have been released under RGGVY. 

The States of Delhi, Goa and Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Puducherry have not participated in RGGVY Programme as they had achieved 100% electrification of villages. In remaining 27 states, RGGVY Projects for 579 districts have been sanctioned.
